Students will receive credit for approximately 4 out of 8 levels in the Honours Bachelor of Applied Technology – Biotechnology program at Fanshawe. The anticipated time to complete the degree at Fanshawe is approximately 2 year including: a summer bridge, 4 academic levels and a 420-hour work term.

Eligibility for Pathway
• completion of the Biotechnology – Advanced, Ontario College Advanced Diploma (OCAD) program from Mohawk College (changes to the advanced diploma curriculum implemented after 2019 may impact the amount of transfer credits awarded)
• an overall average of 3.0 or 70% (B grade)
• courses being used as transfer credit must be completed with a minimum grade of 2.5 or 65% (C+ grade)
• completion of the bridging courses specified below

Conditions de résidence dans le programmeA gap analysis between the Honours Bachelor of Applied Technology Biotechnology program and the Biotechnology – Advanced, Advanced Diploma program was undertaken to determine the credit transfer and gap courses that would be required to meet the requirements of the Honours Bachelor of Applied Technology – Biotechnology degree.
Successful Mohawk transfer students will complete at Fanshawe a minimum of two years, including: a summer bridge, four academic levels equivalent to semesters five to eight, and a 420 hour work term.
The bridging courses listed below will be completed in the summer term before entering level 5 in the fall term:
• BIOL-7003: Plant and Animal Anatomy & Physiology
• BIOL-7004: Genetics
• CHEM-7004: Analytical Chemistry
• PHYS-7003: Radiation Physics
• ENVR-7004: Environmental & World Issues
• HIST-7003: History and Philosophy of Science
Additional gap courses to be completed before graduating from the Fanshawe program:

Politique d’annulation
This agreement is valid for an initial period of three years from the date of signature and shall be reviewed yearly to evaluate the progress of transfer students. At the end of three years, the agreement is subject to review and renewal. The transfer credits awarded are based on the program content at the time the gap analysis was conducted; changes to the advanced diploma program may affect the credit awarded.
