This credit is not transferable to other Faculties or Programs. Students may be eligible for transfer to another program and/or campus at Western at the discretion of the Dean of the Faculty in which they wish to transfer. Students who transfer to another program and/or campus at Western will have the credit that they received as part of the Articulation Agreement removed from their academic record and their courses and program will be reassessed.
Exigences
Western agrees to consider for admission to the Faculty of Science (3-year B.Sc. Environmental Science major, 4-year B.Sc. Environmental Science major, 4-year B.Sc. Environmental Science Specialization, 4-year B.Sc. Environmental Science Honors Specialization), students from Georgian who have complied with the following requirements:
a. a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on all courses taken toward the completion of the two-year Environmental Technician Diploma program. The competitive overall average can vary from year to year and will be determined by the University for the year in which students apply. Courses used towards the diploma program that are upgraded after the completion of the diploma program will be considered as part of the GPA. Any course taken after completion of the diploma program and not used toward the diploma program will not be calculated as part of the GPA;
b. achieve a minimum grade of “C” or 60 percent in each college course taken toward the completion of the diploma program; and
c. no longer than 3 years should have elapsed between conferral of the diploma and admission to Western. Exceptions will be considered on an individual basis.
Admissions decisions are within the sole discretion of Western and are not appealable. Applicants who meet the requirements set out above are not guaranteed admission under this Agreement. The decision as to the number of students who will be accepted in any academic year may vary from year to year.

- 1.0 course from: Calculus 1000A/B, or 1500 A/B, 1301A/B, or 1501A/B, Mathematics 1225A/B, 1228 A/B, 1229 A/B, 1600 A/B, Statistical Sciences 1024 A/B, Applied Mathematics 1201A/B, must be completed during the first year of enrollment
- 0.5 course: Biology 2483A
- 0.5 course: Chemistry 2210A/B
- 0.5 course from: Biology 2244A/B, Statistical Sciences 2244A/B, Psychology 2810
- 0.5 course: a Geography half-course from the Environmental Science Course List
- 0.5 course at the 2000-level from Earth Sciences courses in the Environmental Physical Sciences Subject Courses List
- 1.0 course: Environmental Science 3300F/G, 3350F/G
- 1.5 additional courses from the ‘Environmental Science Course List’; including at least 0.5 from each of the 3 subject areas (physical, life science and philosophy/policy/political science group)
- For all modules no more than 7.0 first year courses will be counted towards degree, including advanced standing credits.
- ‘Option courses’ are courses that can be taken from any Faculty or Department as long as you have taken/ have credit for the pre-requisite course and they meet your graduation requirements, as listed.
B.Sc. Environmental Science Major – 4 year
- 9.0 option courses (8.5 option courses if Psychology 2810 is taken):
- Of these courses, ensure 6.0 courses are senior courses; 1.0 are first year courses, of which 0.5 course must be a non-science course
- Environmental Science 4970F/G may be taken as an option but will not be counted towards module requirements
- Notes:
- A total of 15.0 courses will be taken for this module
- to achieve graduation requirements, of all courses taken at Western, ensure 2.0 are essay courses, 0.5 is a category B course and 8.0 courses are Science courses

This Articulation Agreement is effective January 1, 2017 and shall continue in force unless terminated by either party as set out herein. Either party may terminate this Agreement upon three months’ written notice of termination to the other party. No applicants will be considered for admission after the date of such notice. Students accepted by Western under this Agreement prior to issuance of a notice of termination by either party shall be permitted to complete their studies under the terms of this Agreement.
