Students beginning studies in the Early Childhood Education Diploma program since Fall 2018 will receive the following 7.0 transfer credits:

• 0.5 PSYC 1020H - Introduction to Psychology Part I: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour
• 0.5 PSYC 3500H - Child Development
• 0.5 CHYS 1002H - The Significance of Play in the Lives of Children and Youth
• 0.5 EDUC 1050H - Understanding Teaching and Learning through Social Justice Lenses
• 0.5 EDUC 1051H - Field Experience in Teacher Education Stream I
• 0.5 INDG 1001H - Foundation for Reconciliation
• 0.5 WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
• 0.5 WRIT 2002H - Write It Up: Effective Communication
• 0.5 unassigned Education credit at the 2000 level
• 2.0 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Science credit at the 2000 level

*Additional notes: Students who have completed Fleming College's Indigenous Perspectives Designation (IPD) are also eligible to receive transfer credit for INDG 1002H - Foundations of Modern Indigenous Life. Students must notify admissions@trentu.ca that they have completed the IPD in order to receive the additional credit. 

Students who began studies in the Early Childhood Education Diploma program prior to Fall 2018 are encouraged to contact Trent University for information regarding transfer credits received as part of this articulation agreement.

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Fleming College’s Early Childhood Education Diploma;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected..
