Students beginning studies in the Social Service Worker Diploma program since Fall 2020 will receive the following 6.0 transfer credits:
- 0.5 SWRK 1000H – Introduction to Social Work;
- 0.5 SWRK 1001H – Introduction to Social Welfare;
- 0.5 SWRK 3000Y – Social Work Field Education Placement;
- 0.5 INDG 1001H – The Foundation for Reconciliation
- 0.5 WRIT 1001H – Write in Time
- 1.0 unassigned Arts credit at the 2000 level
- 2.0 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level
Transfer credits for students who began studies in the Social Service Worker Diploma program prior to Fall 2020 will be awarded on a course-by-course basis.

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- Successfully completed Sault College's Social Service Worker Diploma;
- A minimum overall average of 75%.

Students must complete the following 15.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Social Work degree:
- 1.0 introductory credit in the backup major (including 0.5 credit in the Humanities and/or Social Sciences and/or Psychology)

- 0.5 SWRK 2004H – Alternative Theories of Human Behaviour in the Social Environment

*Additional Notes: Without exception, students must have met the following requirements by May 15 of the application year to be considered for admission into the Professional Years of Social Work: • Successful completion of SWRK 1000H, 1001H, 2001H, and 2004H (or equivalent); • A minimum grade of 70% in each of the completed Social Work courses (transfer credits exempted); • A minimum of 10.0 credits with a minimum overall average of 70% (calculated on courses completed at Trent only); • A supplemental application is required, including a list of employment, volunteer, and extracurricular experiences, as well as a short critical thinking essay; • Applications open in early-January for admission to the Professional Years the following September. The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
