Normally upon successful completion of all requirements, students will receive 45 credits (equivalent to one and a half years of university study) for the Fitness and Health Promotion Diploma during their studies at Seneca College.
Requirements
Graduates of the Seneca College Fitness and Health Promotion Diploma must have achieved a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (B or 70%) and have met any additional program or degree specific admission requirements to be considered for admission at York University. For some limited enrollment programs the minimum average may be higher.
Students applying to the Kinesiology program who graduated from the Fitness and Health Promotion Diploma will be considered to have met the Biology (SB14U)
admission requirement. For admission to the BSc program students must present the following prerequisites: Math12U and Chemistry (SCH4U) or Physics (SPH4U). If students do not have the additional prerequisites and are interested in the BSc program, students should anticipate that additional credits will be required. The specific requirements remaining will be determined during the initial advising process through an evaluation of each student's academic history.
