Normally applicants will receive 51 credits (equivalent to almost two years of university study) for completion of the Biotechnology Advanced Diploma.
Requirements
Students of Seneca’s Biotechnology Advanced Diploma who have completed one year with a minimum grade point average of 3.3 (B+ or 75%) will be eligible for admission consideration.
Students in the Biotechnology program will be allowed to register for BIOL 1001 3.0 (and ideally BIOL 2040 3.0, normally during the summer between years one and two and/or the summer prior to entering York full time in the fall) while they work towards their Diploma at Seneca College. To be eligible to enroll in York University courses during studies at Seneca, students must have completed all 1st and 2nd semester courses of the program and have an overall GPA of at least 3.3 (B+ or 75%). Students may be conditionally admitted to a degree program at York University and must also meet any additional program or degree specific admission requirements to be considered for admission. Students registered in degree programs at York while completing Seneca programs are subject to the regulations that apply to that degree. Continuation in the degree program at York University is conditional upon the completion of the Biotechnology Advanced Diploma program with a minimum B+ average.
