Students beginning studies in the Urban Forestry Technician Diploma program since Fall 2021 will receive the following 7.0 transfer credits:

• 0.5 ERSC 1010H - Environmental Science and Sustainability
• 0.5 ERSC 1020H - Cases in Environment and Sustainability
• 0.5 ERSC 2080H - Natural Science Statistics
• 0.5 GEOG-ERSC 2090H - Introduction to Geographical Information Systems
• 0.5 ERSC 2240H - Ecological Assessment for Natural Resource Management
• 1.0 ERSC 3200Y - Management of Forest Ecosystems
• 0.5 GEOG 3510H - Glacial and Quaternary Geomorphology
• 0.5 INDG 1001H - The Foundation for Reconciliation
• 1.0 unassigned Environmental and Resource Science/Studies credit from Category D
• 1.0 unassigned Environmental and Resource Science credit at the 2000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Communications credits at the 1000 level

*Additional notes: Students who have completed the Indigenous Perspectives Designation at Fleming are also eligible to receive transfer credit for INDG 1002H - Foundations of Modern Indigenous Life. Students must notify admissions@trentu.ca that they have completed the IPD to receive the additional credit.

Students who began studies in the Urban Forestry Technician Diploma program prior to Fall 2021 are encouraged to contact Trent University for information about transfer credits received as part of this pathway.

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Fleming College’s Urban Forestry Technician Diploma program; and
- a minimum overall average of 75%

Conditions de résidence dans le programme

Students must complete the following 13.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Environmental and Resource Science degree:

• 0.5 ERSC 2220H Environmental Assessment: Chemical and Laboratory Methods
• 0.5 ERSC 2230H Environmental Assessment: Sampling and Analysis
• 0.5 ERST 3000H Environmental Professional Practice
• 2.5 additional ERSC credits from Category A
• 0.5 additional ERSC/T credits from Category B
• 0.5 additional ERST credits from Category C
• 0.5 ERSC/T credits at the 3000 level or beyond in addition to the above
• 1.0 Math credit
• 0.5 credits from the Approved Indigenous Course List
• 6.0 additional credits

*NOTE: Credits without specified year levels must include at least 3.5 credits at the 3000 or 4000 level.

This agreement is subject to review whenever either party makes curricular changes that impact the agreement. When a change occurs, the program departments will notify their respective articulation designates so that the agreement can be updated. Articulation designates at each institution will review the agreement annually to ensure it is current. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
