The minimum grade required to transfer a course to a diploma program is 'C' or 60%.
The minimum grade required to transfer a course to a degree program is 'B' or 70%.

St. Clair College awards advanced standing in recognition of previous learning:

The amount of transfer credit you can receive is limited by St. Clair College's residency policy.
The policy states that at least 25% of credits in a diploma program must be completed at the College. And, at least 50% of credits in a degree program must be completed at the College.

All currency considerations are dependent on the course and program in which student is enrolled.

Transfer credits will be recorded as "AS" (advanced standing) grades and will not be included in GPA calculation.

Students must apply for transfer credits prior to the College's official 'drop date'.

Transfer credit decisions at St. Clair College are dependent on when students submit their documents and staff availability.

A transfer credit decision can be reviewed/appealed by contacting the office of the Vice-President, Academic.
Appeals must be requested within 10 days of notice of the original decision.
