Conestoga College awards advanced standing (through pathways and block exemptions) and equivalencies (https://www.conestogac.on.ca/credit-transfer)

The amount of transfer credit you can receive is limited by Conestoga College’s residency policy. The policy states that a maximum of 75% of the required program credits may be completed through credit transfer and PLAR for diploma programs; 25% of the program credits must be taken under the direct supervision of Conestoga College faculty. Degree programs do not award advanced standing for more than 50% of the total number of credits of the program based on prior learning assessment.

Conestoga College will consider all Information Technology courses completed within the past 2 years for transfer credit. All other currency considerations are dependent on the course and program in which you are enrolled.

Follow these steps in order to receive your PLAR assessment at Conestoga College:

A PLAR assessment at Conestoga College costs is $135.57. All fees are non-refundable.

Transfer credits will be recorded on your Conestoga College transcript as "EX" or “TC” and will not be included in GPA calculation.

To apply for a Credit Transfer, please use the Student Portal > My Courses > My Credit Transfer.
All credit transfer applications are made through the credit transfer portal:
- Please apply via the portal and ensure all supporting documents are available
- Once a decision has been made, students will be notified through their Conestoga College e-mail account.

There is no fee required for a transfer credit assessment at Conestoga College.
