Students beginning studies in the Protection, Security and Investigation Diploma as of Fall 2019 will receive the following 6.0 credits:

• 0.5 FRSC 1100H – Introduction to Canadian Justice
• 0.5 INDG 1001H – The Foundation for Reconciliation
• 0.5 PSYC 1020H – Introduction to Psychology Part 1: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour
• 0.5 SOCI 1001H – Introduction to Sociology I: Critical Foundations
• 0.5 WRIT 1001H – Write in Time
• 0.5 WRIT 2002H – Write It Up
• 0.5 unassigned Political Studies credits at the 1000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Policing and Community Well-being credit at the 2000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Sociology credits at the 1000 level
• 1.0 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level

*Additional notes: Students who have completed Fleming College's Indigenous Perspectives Designation (IPD) are also eligible to receive transfer credit for INDG 1002H - Foundations of Modern Indigenous Life. Students must notify admissions@trentu.ca that they have completed the IPD in order to receive the additional credit. 

Transfer credits for students who began studies in the Protection, Security and Investigation Diploma prior to Fall 2019 will be awarded on a course-by-course basis.

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Fleming College's Protection, Security and Investigation Diploma program;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.

• 0.5 POST 2351H - The Political Imagination: Ancient and Modern
• 0.5 POST 2352H - The Contemporary Political Imagination
• 0.5 POST 3600H - Designing and Doing Qualitative Research in Political Studies
• 1.0 POST credit from the following
  • 0.5 POST 2011H - Governing Canada: Issues and Challenges
  • 0.5 POST 2012H - Democratizing Canada: Contemporary Issues
  • 0.5 POST 2231H - World Politics
  • 0.5 POST 2232H - Globalization: An Introduction
• 1.5 Political Studies credits at the 3000 level in addition to the above
• 3.0 Political Studies credits at the 4000 level
• 0.5 Political Studies credits in addition to the above
• 5.5 elective credits

*Additional notes: Courses without specified year levels must include at least 2.0 credits at the 3000 and/or 4000 level(s), and no more than 1.0 credit at the 1000 level.

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
