- a minimum overall average of 75%.

Program Residency Requirement

Students must complete the following 13.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Media Studies degree:

  • MDST 1535H – Introduction to Media Studies
  • 1.0 Media Studies credits from the following:
    • 0.5 MDST 3535H - Television Studies
    • 0.5 MDST 2535H - Media and Society
    • 1.0 MDST 2035Y - Indigenous Peoples and Media in Canada 
  • 1.0 unassigned Media Studies credit at the 4000 level
  • 2.0 unassigned Media Studies credits in addition to those above
  • 8.5 additional credits, including:
    • at least 3.5 credits at the 3000 and/or 4000 level;
    • no more than 5.0 credits at the 1000 level.

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
