Durham College agrees to facilitate the block transfer of students who have completed one full year in the Early Childhood Education diploma program at another Ontario College into the second year of the same program at Durham College.

Students must have successfully completed all courses within the first year of the Early Childhood Education diploma program of study (the first 2 academic terms) from the sending college and meet any other admission requirements for the program at Durham College (if applicable).

A minimum of one (1) academic year (2 semesters) of full-time study is required to complete the Early Childhood Education diploma program. Students will not be required to take more credits than are associated with the value of second year curriculum of the receiving college.

Durham College reserves the right to substitute courses that will enhance the students experience and preparedness on a student-by-student basis.

This agreement will be in effect for a period of 5 years. Any changes to the Early Childhood Education program standards mandated by the MCU could affect this
pathway. All changes will conform to the timelines set by the MCU.

Durham College may withdraw from the agreement with the following conditions:

• A minimum of one academic year notice is given to ONCAT and the other colleges covered by the agreement.
• The program is no longer being offered at the withdrawing college.

In the unlikely event that the agreement is terminated at the end of the initial term, students enrolled at a receiving college will be eligible to complete their diploma under
the terms and conditions of the agreement.
