Course Equivalencies Granted

Your college studies equate to approximately one and a half years (i.e. 7.5 full course equivalents) of study at Lakehead.

Requirements

To receive an offer of admission to a degree program, as well as up to 7.5 full course equivalents of transfer credit, you must complete your three-year advanced diploma with an overall average of 70%. Meeting the minimum admission average does not guarantee admission to competitive programs, such as the Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.

In addition, you must complete the program-specific prerequisite requirements. The communications courses that you complete as part of your diploma program tend to satisfy the Ontario high school Grade 12 university-level English (ENG4U) requirement.

Learn more about our general admission requirements for college transfer students.

The amount of transfer credit to you receive depends on a number of factors, including but not limited to: previous grades, course content, and the program applied to at Lakehead University.
