Program Transfer Search

Students graduating from Northern College’s three-year Business Administration - Accounting advanced diploma program will receive credit for courses based on their prior studies to enter the degree with advanced standing. The advanced standing permits students to enter level six of the Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree program.

Advanced standing to level six begins in May of each year and concludes in August if studying on a full-time basis (the summer study term). Candidates for level six advanced standing may also study part-time with intakes available in September, January, and May each year.  

It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that their diploma and degree courses are in compliance with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario professional accounting qualifications and standards for the CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation, upon entrance to and graduation from the Fanshawe College Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree program.

Graduates of Northern College’s Business Administration – Accounting advanced diploma program with a minimum ‘B’ average or cumulative 3.0 (GPA) or 70% will be eligible to enter level six of Fanshawe College’s Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree program.  Applicants must submit a transcript with their application.

Program Residency Requirement

All Level 6 Bridging Courses plus all Level 7 and 8 courses.

All Fanshawe College pathways will have a review date of three years from the date of implementation.  Pathways may have a shorter review date if substantive curriculum changes are made to either the sending or receiving program.  Students enrolled in the receiving institution at the time of any change or notice of termination will be given the opportunity to complete their studies based on the terms of the transfer pathway in effect at the time of their enrollment.
