Program Transfer Search

Eligible applicants will be awarded a maximum of 10.0 transfer credits. That is equivalent to 2 full-time years of study at the University of Guelph. 

Degree totals:

10.0 college transfer credits + 10 credits completed at Guelph with area of emphasis in Hotel and Lodging
10.0 college transfer credits + 10 credits completed at Guelph with area of emphasis in Restaurant and Foodservice
10.0 college transfer credits + 10.5 credits completed at Guelph with area of emphasis in Tourism Management

If you’ve graduated from a Hotel and Restaurant Management 2-year diploma, a Food and Beverage Management 2-year diploma, or a Tourism and Travel 2-year diploma,  then you may be eligible to enter the University of Guelph’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program and earn a Bachelor of Commerce degree in only two years of full time study! You’ll be awarded maximum of 10.0 transfer credits upon admission.

Admission requirements:

• A minimum 75% overall average upon completion of your 2 year Hospitality Management - Hotel and Restaurant diploma.
• Successful completion of grade 12 4U Advanced Functions or equivalent.

Program Residency Requirement

Students applying from a 2-year Hotel and Restaurant Management, 2-year Food and Beverage Management, or 2-year Tourism and Travel diploma will need to complete either 10.0 or 10.5 credits at the University of Guelph to earn their Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Additionally, student's must complete 600 hours of approved/validated industry work experience post-diploma and/or while enrolled at Guelph in order to graduate.
