Transfer pathways search

Students who completed the Practical Nursing Diploma program within the last five years will receive the following 5.0 transfer credits, provided they  meet eligibility requirements:

• 0.5 NURS 1002H - Introduction to Foundational Practice Concepts
• 0.5 NURS 1010H - Relational Inquiry
• 0.5 NURS 1020H - Clinical Practice in a Residential Setting
• 0.5 NURS 2000H - Health Promotion and Population Health
• 0.5 NURS 3021H - Clinical Practice Focused on Chronic Disease Management
• 0.5 BIOL 1500H - Human Anatomy and Physiology 1
• 0.5 BIOL 1501H - Human Anatomy and Physiology 2
• 0.5 PSYC 1020H - Introduction to Psychology Part 1: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour
• 0.5 unassigned Nursing credit at the 2000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Arts credit at the 1000 level

To qualify for the pathway, students must:

• Successfully complete Algonquin College's Practical Nursing Diploma program;
• A minimum overall average of 75%.

Transfer credits awarded through this pathway may not apply in full to all degree programs. Students are encouraged to consult an academic advisor regarding the applicability of transfer credits to their chosen program and for assistance with degree planning.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

Bridging

Students pursuing majors for which equivalent introductory courses are not included in the transfer credit block may be encouraged to complete these courses in the term prior to beginning full-time studies at Trent University. Completing required introductory courses in advance may increase access to upper-year course options during a student's first year of study at Trent University. Students are strongly encouraged to consult an academic advisor for assistance with degree planning and course selection (https://trentu.ca/advising).
